Ceiling objects "Life Paths"
Six art objects are integrated in the ceiling in the Multifunctional Centre Oelbroeck in Sint Anthonis. A primary school, a pre-school day-care, a sports hall, a library, a music school, a local radiostation, a youth centre and several societies are acommodated in this building. The artworks are the connection between all these users through the building.
Fotography and drawings
The images on the glasses are photos which are made in Sint Anthonis. The images are a.o. landscapes, meadows, animals, religious images, the church and square, the local orchestra and sporting and playing children. The photos are digital manipulated and combined with pencil drawings which leads to autonomous images.
The resident of the village can recognize items when the zoom in on the images, this give the images an extra dimension.
Technology
The images are laminated on shatterproof glass.
The glass panels are lighted from the insode via translucent white foil.
